Troy Community Chorus Invites High School Vocalists to Enter $1500 Scholarship Competition
Annual Vocal Competition open to high school students who live in Troy and/or attend Troy schools

The Troy Community Chorus (TCC) is taking applications for its annual vocal music scholarship. The scholarship is open to high school students, grades 9th– 12th, that reside in Troy and/or attend school in the City of Troy. The scholarship of $1500 is designed to further the applicant’s musical education or training in Vocal Music.
All information and downloadable forms for submittal are available at the chorus website at www.troycommunitychorus.com under the Scholarship section. Within this section there are also live performances from previous recipients.
Requirements for applying for the scholarship include the following:

- Applications must be submitted by Feb. 27
- Applicants will be required to audition for the TCC board on March 10 between 6:00 – 7:00 pm at Troy Athens H.S.
- The scholarship recipient will be invited to perform at the TCC’s Spring Concert on Sunday, May 3, 3:00 pm at Troy Athens H.S.

Founded in 1978, the Troy Community Chorus is a non-audition choir consisting of 90+ adult members from across the metropolitan Detroit area who love to sing, want to develop their vocal skills and have fun in the process.
