Officers immediately smelled alcohol coming from the Odyssey and saw multiple half-empty and empty beer bottles inside the minivan, police said.
Due to a language barrier, officers did not conduct field sobriety tests and placed him in the Troy Police Lock-Up, where he was given an interpreter, police said.
The man, whose name hasn’t been released, eventually submitted to a blood test, which will be forwarded to the detective bureau for proper warrants once the blood results are returned, police said.
