Troy to Get Free Shuttle Service on Big Beaver Road

Free service to operate weekdays for now, with an eye toward adding Saturday night.

(Posted on Nov. 4, 2016) TROY, MI — Big Beaver Road is getting a free shuttle service running eight hours a day on weekends, perhaps by the end of the month, after the Troy City Council unanimously authorized the city to negotiate an agreement for the shuttle service with the Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation for the shuttle service that will run with a trolley-style bus and three smaller buses, according to The Troy Times. Troy Mayor Dane Slater called the one-year pilot program "a great asset for the city."
