Troy Gets Mention as One of Top 10 Places to Live in Michigan

Troy gets kudos for its low crime rate and moderate housing costs in the Credit Donkey ranking.

Troy is one of the best places to live in Michigan, according to a new ranking.

The mention comes from Credit Donkey, which says Troy is the fifth-best place to live in Michigan based on five factors:

  • The odds of being a victim of violent crime (one in 360)
  • Commute time (24.6 minutes)
  • Income ($86,465)
  • Residents who attended some college but did not earn a degree (15 percent)
  • Residents who have a bachelor’s degree or higher (57 percent)
  • Restaurants per capita (one per 313 residents)
