Troy High Bands To Perform at Macomb Center for the Performing Arts

The Festival Concert features the Campus, Concert and Symphonic Bands from Troy High School

The Troy Bands are keeping busy during these cold winter months, planning for upcoming special events. For the second year in a row, the Troy High bands are honored to perform at The Macomb Center for the Performing Arts. Performances will feature the Campus, Concert, and Symphonic bands, under the direction of conductor, Brian P. Nutting, and assistant director, Kathleen L. Griffith. Come enjoy the sounds of these award-winning bands at this Festival Concert on Tuesday, February 24th at 7:00 p.m.

The Festival Concert gives the bands the opportunity to share with the public the music they will be playing in state and national competitions. The annual Michigan State Band and Orchestra Association Festival will host the THS bands at Avondale High School in Auburn Hills on March 15. The Campus Band starts the day at 9:55 a.m.; the Concert Band takes the stage at 1:55 p.m.; the Symphonic Band ends the day with their performance at 3:45.

This activity is supported by the MICHIGAN COUNCIL FOR ARTS AND CULTURAL AFFAIRS and the NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS.
