Troy High School Orchestras will host its 29th Annual Gala Concert Fundraiser on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 7pm. The elegant evening features the Freshman,Concert, Philharmonic, and Symphony Orchestras along with the ever-popular Troy High Country Fiddlers. This year’s headliner musicians are Jeremy Kittel, Grammy nominated violinist, fiddler, and composer, along with Jacob Warren, bassist. Harpist Ruth Myers will accompany the Symphonic Orchestra. Emmy Award-winning news Fox 2 reporter and Troy High Alumni Roop Raj will act as Master of Ceremonies. Wendy Stuart, the new Director at Troy High School, states, “It’s going to be a night filled with really incredible music…all or our orchestras will be featured this evening, and it will be so great to hold the Gala Concert again.”

This year will mark the return of the Gala Concert after most concerts, including the Gala, went on hiatus in the 2020-2021 school year. To maintain safety precautions with Covid, this year’s event will pivot from strolling hors d’oeuvres to the opportunity to win various raffle prizes from eateries such as Fogo de Chao, Korea Palace, and Achatz Homemade Pie Co. Entry includes a raffle ticket with the opportunity to purchase more prior to the concert start; doors will be able by 6:30.
