Troy Man Arrested After String Of Oakland Co. Bank Robberies: Sheriff

TROY, MI — A Troy man is in trouble after police said he robbed four Oakland County banks over the past month and then fled to Las Vegas.

Eddie Flint, 29, was charged with two counts of armed robbery and bank robbery, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said. He was placed in the county jail and given a $2,000,000 cash bond.

Officials believe Flint was responsible for at least four bank robberies:

• Sept. 20, 2022 at 9:37 a.m. - Huntington Bank, 2301 W Big Beaver, Troy
• Sept. 24, 2022 at 11:59 a.m. – Chase Bank, 2155 W Big Beaver, Troy
• Sept. 27, 2022 at 4:41 p.m. – Huntington Bank, 4609 Crooks, Royal Oak
• Oct. 3, 2022 at 4:35 p.m. – Vibe Credit Union, 3082 Coolidge Hwy, Berkley

Flint wore a mask covering his face and told employees inside each bank that he had a weapon during the robberies, the sheriff's office said.

Officials said Flint bought a one-way airfare ticket from Detroit Metro Airport to Las Vegas, Nevada on Oct. 6.

Michigan agencies then contacted the Las Vegas Metro Police and arranged to have Flint arrested once his plane landed at Harry Reid International Airport, the sheriff's office said.

Flint was then arrested in Las Vegas and placed in the Clark County Jail in Nevada while waiting to be sent back to Michigan, the sheriff's office said. He was arrested by Troy police on Oct. 20.
