A drunken driver was arrested after driving through multiple backyards in a Troy neighborhood earlier this month, according to police.
TROY, MI — A drunken driver was arrested after driving through multiple backyards in a Troy neighborhood earlier this month, according to police.
A homeowner told officers the driver used their driveway to enter the backyard of a home on the 1500 block of Hamlet Drive at 6:35 p.m. on June 4, according to police.
The driver then drove through multiple backyards in the neighborhood, damaging lawns, a tree and an underground pipe, according to police.

Shortly later, officers found the vehicle parked back on the roadway with the 63-year-old driver standing next to it, according to police.
Officers noticed the Troy man was drunk, according to police.

The man failed multiple sobriety tests, and a preliminary breath test revealed a blood-alcohol content of .20 percent, according to police.
The man was then arrested and placed in the Troy Jail. He was charged with operating while intoxicated (third offense), and driving with a suspended, revoked, or denied license (second offense).
Police did not release the man's name.
