Troy Man Injured After Jet Ski Collision With Son On Union Lake: Cops
Police do not believe alcohol played a role in the crash, which was still under investigation.

WEST BLOOMFIELD, MI — A Troy man was injured in a jet ski crash with his son on Union Lake on Saturday, according to police.
Police said the 45-year-old man was riding a personal watercraft on the lake at 1:30 p.m. when he collided with another jet ski that his 18-year-old was riding.
The impact of the crash caused the son’s jet ski to go airborne and run over the top of his father, according to police.

The father was taken to a nearby hospital where he was being treated for serious injuries, according to police.
The son was not injured in the crash and both men were wearing life jackets, according to police.
