Three males stopped at 3 a.m. ; two have concealed weapons, third stashes pot in squad car.

TROY, MI — On Oct. 2 at 2:55 a.m., Troy police officers pulled over a car for a traffic violation on E. Big Beaver Rd. at Rochester Road. The officer noticed the odor of alcohol and marijuana coming from the vehicle, but the driver, a 19-year-old Detroit man, would not allow a vehicle search, according to a police report.
Two occupants of the vehicle complied with the officer's request to step out of the car. An 18-year-old Eastpointe male became resistant and was placed into handcuffs. Officers then found a loaded Glock 9mm handgun in his breast pocket and charged him with carrying a concealed weapon.
Officers then patted down the driver who was found to be in possession of a Bersa Thunder .380 handgun with laser attachment. He also was arrested on a concealed weapons charge. Another passenger, an 18-year-old from Bloomfield Hills, was placed into the patrol vehicle and later released. Later, officers discovered that he had left marijuana in a crevice in a storage compartment in the patrol car. He was issued a Misdemeanor Citation for Possession of Marijuana which was mailed to his residence.
