Troy Roads Close Sunday for Frightful 5K Run

TROY, MI — Parts of East Big Beaver and Livernois Roads will be closed for a few hours Sunday for the Frightful 5K run in Troy. All area churches, hotels and the Children's Hospital will be accessible.

The Frightful 5K is a U.S. Track and Field-certified race and is part of the Move Across Troy initiative to improve the pedestrian experience on Big Beaver Road.

Participants are encouraged to wear spooky, scary and funny costumes.

From 7:30-10:30 a.m., the following closures will be in effect:

• East Big Beaver Road, both directions, from Livernois Road to approximately 1/8 mile west of Rochester Road.
• Livernois Road from E. Big Beaver Road to Hartland Street (approximately 1/8 mile north of Big Beaver Road).
