Troy Secretary of State Office to Close Temporarily
Troy residents who want to visit the Express SOS can conduct business in Royal Oak, Rochester Hills and Sterling Heights during the closure.

TROY, MI — The Michigan Secretary of State East Oakland County PLUS office at 1111 E. Long Lake Road in Troy will be closed for an upgrade project from Aug. 3-5 that will bring new customer-friendly improvements, Secretary of State Ruth Johnson said Monday. The office is expected to reopen at 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 8.
“The features that this project will bring are part of our commitment to continuously improving and providing convenient customer service while being efficient with taxpayer dollars,” Johnson said in a news release. “Area residents now can do many transactions with us by hopping online at ExpressSOS.com but when they do visit, they can enjoy the benefits of an updated office in Troy.”
ExpressSOS.com offers a convenient alternative for renewing license plates, driver’s licenses and state ID cards. Online license plate renewal allows customers to “print-n-go” by printing a copy of their new registration to use until their tabs arrive in the mail. Easy-to-follow instructions can be found with the renewal notice. Additional services can be done online as well.
