Troy Theatre Ensemble Announces Spring Musical: "Curtains"
The Troy Theatre Ensemble, Troy High School’s award-winning theatre troupe, will open the box office for its spring musical, Curtains, on February 10, 2023. TTE’s Curtains features a cast, stage crew and pit crew of more than 80 students.
The time is Boston, 1959. At the Colonial Theatre, the cast of Robbin’ Hood takes their bows on opening night. Just as the curtain falls, so does Jessica Cranshaw, the profoundly untalented leading lady of the production. Enter Lieutenant Frank Cioffi, a fast-talking cop with a love for musical theatre. He quarantines the cast and crew inside the theatre while he searches for clues. But Cioffi doesn’t just investigate the murder – he also offers advice and insight into improving Robbin’ Hood. The musical will open again in 24 hours with a new leading lady, so the clock is ticking to find the killer and put on a killer show. Who could it be?

musical-theatre parody of whodunnit classics, with numbers ranging from the classic musical theatre song-and-dance “A Tough Act to Follow” to the heartfelt “I Miss the Music.” A comedic send-up suitable for all ages, Curtains will have the audience laughing until the last curtain falls.
Performances are Friday March 10th and Saturday March 11th at 7pm, Sunday March 12th at 2pm, Friday March 17th and Saturday March 18th at 7pm, and Sunday March 19th at 2pm. All seats are reserved and sold online at: http://troytheatreensemble.seatyourself.biz. Adults are $17.50; Senior Citizens 60 and over are $15.00, and Students K-12 are $12.50. General admission is sold at the box office 30 minutes prior to showtime.
