Two Merrill Lynch Advisors Are Named Top Women Advisors in U.S.

Melissa Spickler and Marie Vanerian the only advisors in Metro Detroit Named to both Forbes, Barron's lists of Top Women Financial Advisors

Merrill Lynch Wealth Management Advisors Marie Vanerian and Melissa Spickler have been recognized on the 2018 Barron’s list of “Top 100 Women Financial Advisors” and the 2018 Forbes list of "America's Top Women Wealth Advisors" This recognition is a great industry honor and acknowledgment of each woman's unique accomplishments.

Melissa and Marie are the only two Detroit area financial advisors named to both the Forbes and Barron’s lists of America’s top women financial advisors.

Spickler, who joined Merrill Lynch in 1980, holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation. She has served as a member of Merrill Lynch’s Advisory Council to Management. She earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal law from Michigan State University. Melissa and her team are based in Bloomfield Hills, MI.

Marie began her career at Merrill Lynch in 1977. In 2001 Vanerian was granted the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation by completing a program offered through Wharton Business School, in conjunction with Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA). Marie is a graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in economics. Marie’s office is in Troy, MI.

The Forbes ranking rates thousands of wealth advisors with a minimum of seven years of experience and weighing factors like revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience and best practices learned through telephone and in-person interviews.
