USA MeltingPot Panel Discussion - Current Status of Ukraine

USA Melting Pot club will hold Ukraine meeting at the Troy Public Library, 510 West Big Beaver, Troy, Michigan, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, May 19. Please print the attached meeting notice in bulletin board for those who may be interested in the topic.

Jerry Benge, instructor at Kiev Theological Seminary for the past five years, will speak about the situation in Ukraine, followed by a panel discussion with Q&A. Panelists will includeJerry and Kelli Benge, club treasurer Yuri Peric, who was born in St. Petersburg, Russia and grew up in Croatia, and prominent Ukrainian-Americans Borys Potapenko and Olena Palyvoda, who have recently returned from Ukraine.  

Potapenko was in Ukraine in March to meet with government officials and NGOs in Kyiv and in eastern provinces. He also met with Canadian Prime Minister Harper while there.  Dr. Palyvoda is returning May 16 from several weeks in Ukraine.
