Vistage Michigan Executive Reception to Feature Edgar Papke, Author of The Elephant in the Boardroom, May 3

Keynote speaker, Edgar Papke, presents on the topic of how leaders

use and manage conflict to reach greater levels of success

ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. – April 1, 2016 — Vistage Michigan (www.VistageMichigan.com), part of the world’s leading Chief Executive organization, is hosting a special educational reception for CEOs, presidents, key executives, business owners and other prospective members on Tues., May 3. Hosted at the Troy Marriott, located at 200 W. Big Beaver Rd. in Troy, the event will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend.

The reception kicks off with Cinco de Mayo-themed hors d’oeuvres and libations along with networking at 4:30 p.m. The keynote address given by Edgar Papke will begin promptly at 5 p.m.

Papke is a globally recognized speaker, author and executive coach known for his innovative approaches to leadership and business. He will present a talk based on his book of the same name, “The Elephant in the Boardroom: How Leaders Use and Manage Conflict to Reach Greater Levels of Success.” In his presentation, Papke will explore one of the greatest of the greatest challenges leaders face: successfully managing conflict, including the conflicts in organizations, teams and with the customer.

Reception attendees will learn to:

• Explore the unique relationship of conflict and leadership 

• Understand the sources of conflict in their organization or team 

• Increase self-knowledge of their perspective and approach to conflict 

• Develop an approach to successfully confronting conflict that can be applied immediately to create powerful and meaningful resolutions 


Executives will also be able to speak with current members about their Vistage Michigan experience and have the opportunity to schedule a complimentary coaching session with a local Vistage Chair.
