'Vodka Rox' Sampling Event Features 60+ Vodkas

Shaken, stirred or neat? Wheat, corn or rye? How do you normally enjoy your vodka?

Organizers of Vodka Rox say those and other questions will be answered at the spirit-sampling event to be held from 8-11:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, at the Royal Oak Farmers Market. Suppliers from around the globe will offer samples of more than 60 vodkas – everything from vodkas produced at small-batch distilleries to 400-year-old staples. Restaurants will serve a variety of vodka-inspired appetizers, and music will be provided by DJs.

Attendees of Vodka Rox will be treated to samplings of the finest brands and varieties of premium vodkas, as well as infusions and flavored vodkas, and a wide variety of cocktails hand-crafted by mixologists from some of the area’s best bars, including Fifth Avenue, Good Night Gracies, Local Kitchen, Black Finn, Firebird Tavern, The Oakland, and Grasshopper Lounge.

The limited-quantity VIP session begins begin at 7 p.m. For $65, each person gets 20 3-oz serving tabs and first access to the event’s most exclusive vodkas.

General session tickets are $45 and include a tasting cup, 15 3-ounce serving tabs per session, and a program guide. Additional servings and food will be available for purchase.

“Designated Driver” tickets are available for $15 and must accompany a paid attendee.

Royal Oak Farmer’s Market is located in the Civic Center at the Corner of 11 Mile Road and Troy Street (316 E 11 Mile Rd) in downtown Royal Oak.
