The atmosphere was electric at Wattles Elementary School, as final preparations were made for the much-anticipated Golden Jubliee Celebration, 50 Years of Providing Educational Excellence. 550 Members of the Wattles community, including current and former students, parents and teachers were on hand to celebrate this special anniversary in style. Festivities included: sampling foods from around the world at the International Dinner, a high energy dance party, photo booth, and raffle. Guests also enjoyed looking at past yearbooks and class photos. The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of a mural completed by current staff and students, and a balloon drop.
“We have an amazing school community, who came together to celebrate something really special,” said Wattles Principal Dr. Joyce Brasington. “We demonstrate that commitment every day, to live up to our motto: Working All Together To Learn, Ensures Success.” Onwards to the next 50 years!
