Whitmer Will Speak At Troy, Auburn Hills Events Friday

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — Gov. Gretchen Whitmer will speak at two Oakland County events Friday.

Whitmer will first deliver closing remarks Friday morning at the Detroit Marriott Troy Hotel after panelists discuss the business climate in Troy.

The event, hosted by the Troy Chamber of Commerce, will feature Oakland County Executive Dave Coulter, Troy Mayor Ethan Baker and the Michigan Economic Development Corp at the hotel from 8-10 a.m. Troy Chamber members can attend the event for $35, and $45 for non-members. Whitmer will then deliver the keynote address at Oakland University’s commencement ceremony in Auburn Hills on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. She will speak to the graduates at the College of Arts and Sciences at O’Rena Athletic Center.

"It is a tremendous honor to host Governor Whitmer and to hear her share her thoughts," Oakland University President Ora Hirsch Pescovitz said. "The governor will be addressing our talented young men and women who will be entering the workforce of our state at a critical time for Michigan."
