Woman Tried Robbing Troy Bank, Claims She Had A Bomb: Police

A woman was arrested Monday after police said she tried robbing a Troy bank in September.

TROY, MI — A woman was arrested Monday after police said she tried robbing a Troy bank in September.

Zeenat Jana Scott-Musa,24, from Detroit, was charged with armed robbery and bank robbery. She was arraigned at 52-4 District Court and given a $1,000,000 cash bond, officials said.

Troy Police said Scott-Musa walked into the Chase Bank at 260 John R Road in Troy on Sept. 28 at 4:19 p.m. wearing a backpack and gave a note to the teller. The note demanded money and warned she had a bomb, Troy Police said.

When the teller alerted the bank manager of the attempted robbery, Scott-Musa ran out of the bank without receiving any money, police said.

Detectives investigated the scene and found a fingerprint, and later determined it to be Scott-Musa.
