• Father charged after 8-week-old baby hospitalized with broken bones, brain bleed (mlive.com) — Walker police have charged a 20-year-old father with second-degree child abuse after his 8-week-old son was hospitalized with multiple broken bones and bleeding around the brain and spine. The case, filed in Walker District Court, stems from a report by hospital staff and an investigation that led to the father's confession about shaking and tossing the baby; a preliminary hearing is scheduled this week.
