"I don't really come here too often," said Nicole Hollander, 17, of Bloomfield Hills. "I watch movies online, and I came here just because of the sales. If I'm feeling like renting a specific movie, I'll miss it."
Blockbuster filed for bankruptcy last year but announced in February that it plans to put itself up for sale. According to a news release, Blockbuster "has initiated a process to sell the company, which it believes represents the best means of maximizing value for Blockbuster’s stakeholders."
Blockbuster employees offered no comment but said prices would continue to decrease until the entire inventory is sold. Management could not be reached for comment.
