
Friends of the West Bloomfield Township Public Library Presents Stage Reading: Half Sour
West Bloomfield – On Sunday, August 30, 2026, the Friends of the West Bloomfield Twp Public Library will host a special stage reading of the new musical Half Sour in the Main Library Meeting Room. Admission is free and open to the public.
“Half Sour” tells the story of three senior citizens who work with their favorite waitress to rebuild a deli that had been destroyed by a tornado. It’s a musical, with numerous parodies of popular songs that all will know.

West Bloomfield, MI – Community members are invited to attend a staged reading of the new musical Half Sour, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the development of a fresh work for the musical theater stage. This special Talkin' Broadway presentation gives audiences the opportunity to experience the story, music, and characters in an early form, highlighting the creative process as the piece takes shape.
The stage reading format invites listeners to engage closely with the writing, structure, and emotional arc of the musical while providing valuable feedback and insight into new work in development. Guests are encouraged to attend and take part in this unique look at emerging theater.
