ELECTION RESULTS: Keego Harbor OKs Recreational Pot

Also, here are the final results on city council and term limit votes in Keego Harbor and Lathrup Villaage.

Keego Harbor voters approved by a 55 percent margin the possession of small amounts of marijuana by adults in Tuesday’s election, but turned down a proposal for term limits, 63 percent to 37 percent.

Voters in Lathrup Village also said no to term limits by a margin of 62 percent to 38 percent.

Keego Harbor voters elected John Newberry and Joel Yoder to the city council.

In Lathrup Village, Donna P. Stallings and Kale Garrett were the top two vote-getters, with 24.27 percent and 23,43 percent of the vote, respectively, to win four-year terms. Ian A. Ferguson won a two-year term with 18.80 percent of the vote.

Voters in the city are also voting on term limits, as well as members to the city council. Candidates for two three-year terms are John Newberry, Peter A. Trzos, Phil Trzos and Joel Yoder.

The city of Lathrup Village is also considering term limits, as well as electing three members to the City Council. The top two vote-getters win four-year terms, while the third-highest vote-getter will be elected to a two-year term.

Candidates are Bruce Copus, Ian A. Ferguson, Kale L. Garrett, Mike Keenan and Donna P. Stallings.
