Living the Gospel of Gentleness: A Lenten Retreat

Learn of the witness of the L'Arche communities, bringing together disabled and non-disabled individuals together as partners in life

At a Lenten Retreat held at the Pine Hill Congregational Church, 4160 Middlebelt Road, West Bloomfield, Michigan 48323, on Saturday, March 4, 2017, from 9:00 am-2:00 pm, learn how to live gently from the model of the L'Arche communities, founded by Jean Vanier to bring together disabled and non-disabled individuals in meaningful life partnerships. Along with Stanley Hauerwas, Vanier wrote Living Gently in a Violent World: The Prophetic Witness of Weakness, describing the L'Arche model. There is no charge for this event, and light lunch will be provided with pre-registration at 248-626-2737 and a free-will donation.
