MICHIGAN SCALE MODEL BOAT CLUB REGATTA

SPONSORED BY WEST BLOOMFIELD PARKS AND RECREATION, The Michigan Scale Model Boat Club will present a fleet of radio controlled model boats at the West Bloomfield Parks and Recreation Department’s Family Aquatic Center, 6200 Farmington Rd in West Bloomfield MI, on Saturday, May 9 from 10:00AM until 2:00PM.

This event is open to anyone who would like to display an electrically powered or static model boat.The public is invited to this free regatta to see hand-crafted model boats operate under radio control.

Cabin cruisers, warships, paddle-wheelers and run-abouts are expected to be on display. The builders will be available to describe their models and how they are built, as well to answer other questions about this interesting hobby. Some model boats would be available for kids or adults to try as “hands on”.

Plan now to join us on May 9 at the West Bloomfield Family Aquatic Center. Pre-registration is not required. Free admission to the public
