Union Lake real estate and waterfront homes West Bloomfield

I would call Union Lake one of West Bloomfield's jewels. It is a beautiful public all sports lake located just east of Union Lake Rd, and South of Cooley Lake Road. I love driving by it on the way to work in the morning. Sometimes there are spectacular sunrises or the wildlife and nature are doing making a wonderful picture. Just don't get distracted when driving when enjoying the scenery.

Union Lake is one of Oakland County's larger lakes at 465 acres. It is big enough enough for any water sports enthusiasts to go wake boarding, tubing, knee boarding, jet skiing, or skiing on. What some of the good features of the lake are:

1.) Sandbar where the local lake residents meet to talk and have fun

2.) Matter of Taste Restaurant. It is more of an upscale restaurant, but I think it could be even a better place if it catered more to the lake residents. I think they would do more business selling burgers, and pizza. The docks would be full all the time.

It is a public access lake which is good for the general public. They get full access to have fun on the lake. I am sure like most lakes the residents would like it private, but that is not going to change.

The lake has a deep spot of 110 feet. You will see divers occasionally through out the year practicing rescues and training. It is a very beautiful lake. Union Lake waterfront lake properties are more upscale. You are not going to find a lake cottage on this lake for $200,000. There are many beautiful luxury lakefront homes on the lake. They have torn down the little lake cottages and custom built homes.
