MI Gov. Rick Snyder Testifies Before Congress on Flint Water Crisis: WATCH LIVE
Gov. Rick Snyder says he will report what the state has done and what will be done to address the Flint water crisis.
WASHINGTON, DC – Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder is expected to face hours of questions Thursday as he testifies before the U.S. Oversight and Government Reform Committee on his administration’s role in the Flint water crisis.
Gina McCarthy, chief of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, is also scheduled to testify.
In a written statement released ahead of his testimony, scheduled to begin at 9 a.m., Snyder said:

“We are taking responsibility and taking action in Michigan, and that is absolutely essential here in Washington, too. Inefficient, ineffective, and unaccountable bureaucrats at the EPA allowed this disaster to continue unnecessarily.”
Lawmakers on the committee include three Michigan representatives: Republican Tim Walberg of Tipton, Republican Justin Amash of Cascade Township and Democrat Brenda Lawrence of Southfield.
