3rd Annual Bocce with the Brothers set for Friday, January 23

Sterling Heights event to benefit Detroit Brothers of Capuchin Ministries

Presented by Shelving Inc., and Vice President of Sales Mike Schodowski, the 3rd Annual Bocce with the Brothers fundraiser will be hosted on Friday, Jan. 23 at Villa Penna Banquet & Restaurant in Sterling Heights. Benefitting the Brothers of the Capuchin Ministries, Schodowski and Shelving Inc., has been a longtime supporter of the Detroit-based organization, annually donating 10 percent of its profits.

Its an evening getting to know the Brothers of the Capuchin Ministries, who support the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, Father Solanus Guild, Solanus Casey Center and the Overseas Missions, who they are, what they do and how people can help (and play some Bocce Ball).

Featuring a buffet dinner, cash bar, silent auction and live entertainment, $50 tickets provides attendees access to everything, plus unlimited Bocce Ball.

Shelving Inc., and Schodowski have long supported the Capuchins, raising more than $1.2 million through annual events such as Benefit on the Bay β€” now in its 22nd year β€” and donating 10 percent of the Auburn Hills-based companies annual profits. Schodowski was first introduced to the Capuchins while volunteering at the soup kitchen as a teenager.

Founded in 1929, Capuchin Soup Kitchen serves Metro Detroit by providing those in need with food, clothing and counsel, preparing an average of 2,000 meals per day.
