Following are some of the gigs that turned up with “pets” and “animals” in the keywords field.

(That’s how we learned about the Need for a Magician to put on a stage show at a birthday party for children ages 4-6 in St. Clair Shores. It’s a glow-in-the-dark party, if that helps. Rabbits, doves or other animals aren’t specifically required, but what’s a good magic show without some living creature under your hat?)

On with the jobs:

1. Traveling Owner Needs Pet Sitter in Macomb Township: Buddha is a huge lovable lab but he is a rescue dog, with some abandonment issues. He loves adults, but kids, cats and other animals? Not so much.
2. Pet Lover Sitter: A Howell family needs a sitter for four cats. Must love animals! The ideal match must agree to clean litter boxes, refill automatic feeders and meet other requirements.
3. Need Dog Training: A family dog in Dearborn Heights is looking for a private contractor who will provide manners training. The dog is exhibiting the following behavior: anxiety, aggression toward other dogs and people, and jumping.
4. Need a Pet Sitter: If you’re in the Ann Arbor area, a private contract sitter is needed for cats and dogs, for multiple days and nights.
5. Pet Care: Dogs in the Clarkston area need to be tended to at least three times a day, including feeding and outside exercise and play.
6. Walk the Dog: A family in the Troy area is looking for someone who will walk a 10-year-old Siberian huskie while the humans are out earning money to feed him. He just needs to be let out outside to play and take care of business, stretch his legs and get some love.
7. Pet Sitter Needed: A family in Capac area will be away and need a sitter for a pair of pit bulls,a Newfoundland and a beagle. Reptiles also need care.
8. Professional Pet Sitter / Dog Walker: Pawsitive Pet Care in Canton provides professional pet sitters and and dog walkers to chase the string with your cat and take your pooch out for a stroll.
9. Pet Nutrition Specialist: Crossmark, a retail store in Southfield, has an opening for someone who is comfortable approaching animal owners and enthusiastic about talking to them about their pet food choices.
