HIGHLAND TOWNSHIP, MI — Two motorcyclists were injured in an Oakland County crash over the weekend, according to sheriff's officials.
The crash happened at 4:50 p.m. Sunday on North Milford Road near Wind Valley Lane in Highland Township, officials said.
A 26-year-old Grand Blanc resident was riding a 2006 Suzuki GSX1300 and a 21-year-old Grand Blanc resident was riding a 2010 Kawasaki ZT1000 south on North Milford Road, officials said.
The motorcyclists then smashed into a 2019 BMW M550Xi that was moving in the opposite direction and turning into a private driveway, officials said.
Both motorcyclists were ejected from their bikes in the crash, officials.
They were taken to McLaren Oakland Hospital and Genesys Hospital where they were listed in critical condition, officials said.
The driver of the BMW,a 28-year-old Fenton resident, was not injured in the crash and was wearing a seat belt, officials said.
Both motorcyclists were wearing DOT-approved helmets and additional protective riding gear, officials said.
Investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash, but they have yet to determine if speed contributed to the crash.
Officials were still investigating the crash.
