• 1 dead, 1 injured in high-speed boat crash on Oakland Co. lake (detroitnews.com) — A 71-year-old White Lake resident died and another man was injured after a high-speed boat crash on Oxbow Lake in White Lake Township earlier this week. Deputies say the boat went airborne, flipped, and sank, and neither man wore a life jacket. Officials are urging local boaters to slow down, wear flotation devices, and treat lake safety as a priority.
