Big Rapids Rolls Over Lakeland 5-2
Lakeland loses second game of the weekend in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.

Game two of the Elks Showcase Saturday afternoon in Sault Ste. Marie had the Cardinals of Big Rapids taking on the Lakeland Eagles.
The Eagles jumped out to an early two goal lead with goals from senior Nick Kobak (assists from Jakubowski, Walker) and junior Garret Unsworth (assists from Johnson, Lechner) before getting into penalty trouble.

The Cardinals finally got on the board with a late first period power play goal. Despite being outshot 14-5 in the first period the Eagles were able to hang on to a 2-1 lead due to the strong play in net from junior goalie Trevor Kalinowski.
The Cardinals came out strong in the second and added three more goals and outshot the Eagles 17-3.

The Cardinals would tack on one more goal in the third to make it 5-2, and again outshot the Eagles 12-5.
Trevor Kalinowski made 38 saves in goal for the Eagles.
The Eagles are on the road Wednesday, Nov. 23, against Avondale High School, game time is 7 p.m.
