Citizens Academy Looking for Participants
The spring session of the White Lake Police and Fire Citizens Academy still has openings.

If you are looking for a way to get involved in your township, look no further than the Citizens Academy hosted by the White Lake Township and departments.
The 13-week training program is open to all residents and business owners in the township who want to experience the inner workings of the police and fire departments.
The first class kicks off at 6:30 p.m. March 2. All remaining sessions will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays. Each session will run approximately three hours.

In addition to hands-on training, the program will include presentations by township officials, police and fire personnel. Applications are being accepted. Space is limited and classes fill early, officials said.
This program is free; however, registration is mandatory. Call the police department at 248-698-1042 if you have questions.
