Friday Detroit Bike Week Events

A major highlight of Bike Week activities on Friday, July 29 is the 9/11 tribute, in this 10th anniversary year of the tragic events of 9/11, which starts at 6 p.m. at the event site, Multi-Lakes Conservation Association in Commerce Township.

The Wall, the American Veterans Traveling Tribute/Cost of Freedom Exhibit, which includes a replica of the Vietnam Wall in Washington, D.C., is another big draw. It opens to the public from noon-10 p.m. This is the only scheduled visit of the exhibit to Michigan.

Families of names on the wall are invited to participate in special ceremonies.  For more information about how to participate contact Jill Starceswski at jill@detroitbikeweek.com or 586-212-3711.
