New Year’s Day Paddle and Social Gathering

Heavner Canoe Rental & Heavner Nature Connection invites you and your family to the annual New Year’s Day Huron River Paddle and Social Gathering from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1.

You and your family will enjoy nature walks, storytelling and snow snake races at the Riverhawk Conference Center in the Proud Lake Recreation Area. Cocoa and coffee will be provided. 

A special New Year’s Day Huron River paddle will be held at  p.m.  at the Moss Lake Dam. Bring your canoe or kayak or you can rent one from Heavner’s ($19/hr). Return transportation from Wixom Road will be available for a small fee or paddle upstream to the launch site.

The Riverhawk Conference Center is located at 3500 Wixom Road, Commerce Twp.
