Kites will be provided free to the first 50 registered children to color and then fly in the soccer field. There will be a Kite Flying Demonstration provided by Kites & Fun Things of Plymouth in addition to a Nature Walk & Craft Activities. Feel free to bring your own kite and get advice from Kites & Fun Things.
Please register in advance by calling Maybury State Park at 248-349-8390. The Rec 101: Intro to Kites event is FREE, however a Recreation Passport is required for vehicles entering the park. The Recreation Passport has replaced the motor vehicle permit and is available when renewing your license tabs at the Secretary of State or any park office.
