Where/when: Saturday from 8-11 a.m. at Millenium Middle School in South Lyon (61256 9 Mile Rd).

Why go:  Help out the South Lyon library and enjoy a 5K or 10K with family and friends. There is even a fun run for kids.

Pricing:  Through Friday: 10K-$27; 5K-$25; Stortyime Challenge-$11 (prices increase on race day).

Where/when: Saturday at Fisk Farm from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (9180 Highland Rd, White Lake).

Why go: Sell your junk, or pick up some gently used items from the community.

Why go: It's opening day! Check out all this new market has to offer, including baked goods, produce, plants, art and more.

Price: Free.

When/where: Sunday at 11 a.m. at .

Why go: Plant, weed, harvest or deliver. The vegetables harvested from the community garden will help benefit the Open Door Outreach Center Pantry. Get involved and give back to your community.
