Haven Hill Festival Draws Big Crowd

Tour of historic Haven Hill Estate and 1860's era baseball game highlighted the fun.

The 3rd annual Haven Hill Festival drew a big crowd under sunny skies Saturday afternoon in the Highland Recreation Area. 

The Friends of Highland Recreation sponsored the event to celebrate the Edsel and Eleanor Ford's historic Haven Hill Estate. 

A fleet of Model T’s cruised around the 5.900 acre park.

An 1860’s era baseball game pitted the Haven Hill Barn Stormers against the Gate House Gang. 

An amazing collection of never-before-seen historic photographs from Edsel and Eleanor Ford’s Haven Hill estate were on display.

Attendees said they enjoyed a bus trip up the hill to the estate where they toured the footprint of the large building. Shuttle buses were provided by Heavner Canoe Rental. Kids of all ages also made 1860-era fans to keep cool during the baseball game thanks to Friends Preschool.
