Highland Woman Inducted Into Sewing Hall Of Fame
Janet Pray of Highland, Mich. was inducted into the Sewing Hall of Fame by the American Sewing Guild.
Janet Pray of Highland, Mich. was inducted into the Sewing Hall of Fame by the American Sewing Guild at their 2017 annual conference in Orlando, Fla.
Pray is a fiber artist, fiber arts teacher, sewing instructor and president of Islander Sewing Systems that promotes industrial sewing techniques through books, CDs, coat and cape designs and professional shirt patterns for men and women. She teaches classes on craftsy.com and sewbettersewfaster.com and in person at conferences, retreats and sewing guilds. She was the founder of American Sewing Expo. Pray will be teaching at the Sewcial retreat Sept. 21 - 23 in Novi.
Induction into the ASG Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have had a lasting impact on the home sewing industry with unique and innovative contributions through sewing education, product development, media or other sewing industry related endeavors.
