Jefferson International Academy opening in Waterford for 2013/2014 school year

Jefferson International Academy, a Hanley Harper Group school, will begin its school year on Tuesday, September 3, 2013. The academy will be located at 60 South Lynn Street in Waterford.

JIA is now accepting student enrollment for the upcoming school year. Interested parents/guardians may request and submit applications for enrollment for all children who reside in the state of Michigan entering Kindergarten through Grade 5 for the 2013/2014 school year. Parents may also register children online at http://www.jeffersoninternationalacademy.com/ .

  • June 27 – Thursday 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m
  • June 29 – Saturday 10:00 am – 12 noon
  • July 1 – Monday 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m
  • July 2 – Tuesday 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m

The school will be lead by seasoned principal, Dr. Elizabeth A. Ruff. Ruff brings a well-rounded educational background with experience as a classroom teacher, master teacher, administrator, as well as working for an authorizer. 

“I am energized by the mission and vision of JIA.  My focus is creating a rigorous learning environment where students are encouraged to become citizens of the world by reaching their full potential in the core curriculum, said Principal Dr. Elizabeth Ruff. “Additionally, integrating technology and the arts into the classroom will allow students to truly become 21st century students”
