Lady Eagles Sweep Walled Lake Western on Senior Night

Lakeland softball continues win streak, honors team's seniors.

The Lady Eagles swept Walled Lake Western on Senior Night to raise their record to 21-4. Seniors Michelle Stiltner, Kelsey Cleary, Stephanie Shatzer, Devan Olah and Stephanie Johnson played their final home game Wednesday. 

They were honored in an emotional ceremony behind home plate after sweeping the doubleheader. 

The Eagles won the first game 10-0 in five innings and took the nightcap 9-1.

Selena Hicks lead the Eagles to the win in both games giving up only one run to raise her record to 11-1. Coach Joe Alsup acknowledged the outstanding leadership the seniors have provided and was especially proud of the senior class's 3.5 grade point average at Lakeland.
