Lakeland Wrestlers Continue Tradition

Wrestlers have wrapped up conditioning and look forward to competition.

Despite frigid temperatures and howling winds, the Lakeland wrestling team ended the first two weeks of conditioning with their annual "Steak and Hot Dog Game."

Now in his third year as head coach, Matt Bishop, started the tradition to reward his squad for their hard work during what has come to be known as "hell week." Things got serious the following week as official practices got under way. Known for having a well conditioned team with wrestlers who go whistle to whistle, Bishop seems to find a way to get the most out of his squad. And if you ask the team, they'll tell you that he somehow also finds a way to make the grueling training fun.
