The Milford Mavericks rolled to a 42-21 win over Flushing on Friday night before an enthusiastic crowd. Senior quarterback Alex Larson led the Mavericks to the win behind a dominating offensive line. Larson rushed for 96 yards while completing 8 of 11 passes for 194 yards including a touchdown pass to John Bartoluzzi. Maverick running back Danny Wallace had a big night scoring three touchdowns. Wallace ran between the tackles for 96 tough yards on 21 carries.
Junior defensive back Darrion Spencer picked up a fumble and returned it for a touchdown for the Maverick defense. Linebacker Cameron Bell jammed the middle all night and had a big sack in the third quarter.
The Mavericks are on the road for the first time on Thursday as they travel to Plymouth. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
