Mother, Infant Son Die After Bathtub Drowning In Oakland County: Police

WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, MI — A mother and her infant son died after they drowned in a bathtub Friday at an Oakland County home, according to police.

The incident happened at 10:30 p.m. Friday at a home in the Whispering Woods Apartments in Waterford Township, according to police.

When officers arrived at the home, they found the 36-year-old Waterford Township woman and her 2-month-old son unresponsive in the bathtub, according to police.

Emergency personnel immediately began lifesaving measures before they were taken to nearby hospitals, according to police.

The mother and child were pronounced dead at the hospitals, according to police.

Autopsies from the Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office showed both deaths were caused by drowning, according to police.
