Motorcyclist Dies After Hitting Deer On Oakland County Road: Police

Police said the motorcyclist hit the deer and drove off the road, coming to a rest in a wooded area.

WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, MI — A motorcyclist died after striking a deer on an Oakland County road over the weekend, according to police.

The crash happened at 11:15 a.m. Saturday on Hospital Road near Pershing Street in Waterford Township, according to police.

Police said the motorcyclist hit the deer and drove off the road, coming to a rest in a wooded area.

The 64-year-old Waterford Township man was taken to McLaren Oakland Hospital where he died, according to police.

Police did not release the man's name.
