New Year's Eve Party Forecast in White Lake-Highland Area: Chill Out

Though sunny Wednesday, it’ll be windy and cold. The high will be 22 degrees, but it will feel like 5 degrees.

If you’re planning to head out for the evening, be sure to dress warmly. Overnight temperatures will be in the teens and winds will remain brisk. The National Weather Service says winds will create “dangerous” wind chill values.
On New Year’s Day, daytime temperatures will be a little higher at 30, but the winds will continue, making it feel like 13. It’ll be sunny again, with no chance of snow until Saturday. Snow showers are possible through Monday, the National Weather Service said.

What’s ahead for 2015?
The Old Farmer’s Almanac forecasts more typical weather for January with an average temperature of 23 degrees, 4 degrees below average, and precipitation of 1.5 inches, an inch below normal.
Very cold temperatures are expected through Jan. 17, before milder weather returns for a week. More cold temperatures are forecast for Jan. 26-28, before sunny and mild temperatures prevail Jan. 29-31.
