The 5th Michigan Regiment Band performed in the pavilion in Monday evening. 

The band, under the direction of Lt. Col. Guy Smith, played a number of popular marches and waltzes from the 1860’s. 

The 12 member band plays antique and replica saxhorns and rope tension wood drums, and is designated as “Michigan’s Civil War Sesquicentennial Band” by the Michigan Legislature.

In addition to the music, the crowd enjoyed Popsicles provided by Denise Harris-Fiems from the .
