Rec 101: Intro to Snowshoeing

Join us for a FREE introductory program.  Participants will be instructed in snowshoes and accessories, winter safety, appropriate cold weather clothing and basic snowshoeing techniques. It is geared to the first-timer and includes 60 minutes on some shoes trekking around the gorgeous park. 

Meet at the Heavner Canoe Livery just across the street and north of the park HQ.  Pre-register by calling Heavner Canoes at (248) 685-2379.

Event will be held snow or shine.  Warm clothing is required and water bottles are recommended.  Dress in LAYERS!  In the event there is no snow, please join us for a winter trail hike/walk/run and winter tips. Instruction provided courtesy of Heavner Canoe & Kayak.
