St. Patrick Catholic School - White Lake - Open House

St. Patrick Catholic School in White Lake is hosting an open house from 12-3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29.
The popular event is attended by prospective families looking for enrollment information for the 2017-2018 school year and also by interested parishioners and community members.

St. Patrick provides an exceptional STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, and Math) based curriculum, offering students an exciting, academically challenging and faith-based environment. The students at St. Patrick exhibit exceptional test scores, as measured by the annual IOWA assessment, where the students regularly score above grade level (link to 2016-2017 IOWA test results). The school houses nearly 500 students.

"We are very excited to welcome all families interested in our school to this year’s Open House!" said Mr. Jeremy Clark, principal of St. Patrick. "First and foremost, you will see that we are committed to instructing our students in the faith of Christ. We approach student discipline with virtue and the teachings of Christ in mind, where it becomes more of a positive character development. We are also absolutely committed to educational excellence, and our test scores are proof of that. Our teachers are all highly qualified, and are committed to working with students of all abilities while using data to drive decision making for our school."

Guided tours will be conducted by our students and parents, for those wishing to hear more about the school. Teachers and administrative staff will be on hand to answer questions for prospective students and their parents or as guests simply walk through the school on their own. On-site enrollment will also be available at all grade levels, where spots are available. Mr. Clark encourages families to "[c]ome tour the school, speak with our staff members and see what opportunities St. Patrick School and Parish have to offer, not only to our students, but the entire family!"

Free refreshments will be available in the library. Also, while you’re there, take advantage of our free admission to the basketball games that day.

St. Patrick’s Open House kicks off “Catholic Schools Week” across the United States. This year’s national theme selected by the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) is "Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service". According to the NCEA, the theme encompasses several concepts that are at the heart of a Catholic education. First, schools are communities—small families in their own right, but also members of the larger community of home, church, city and nation. Faith, knowledge and service are three measures by which any Catholic school can and should be judged. and will focus on the our school as a community

St. Patrick's participates in many community projects including Open Door Pantry Food Drives, clothing/diapering donations for the Women & Teens Crisis Pregnancy Center, letters to veterans at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, and many other charitable causes.

St. Patrick offers a quality education from preschool through eighth grade, and students can enter at any grade level.
